2026 has been a year of learning, as most years are for me. In my opinion, the absolute best way to represent my clients and tell the story of how the defendants acted poorly and how that action harmed my clients is to do the trainings that the defendants did or should have done.

With this, I spent four weeks doing an accredited program through United Trucking in San Diego, which is designed to become a commercial truck driver. This class was intense, as it was a full-time job for four weeks, which started at 7:00 in the morning and went until about 3:30pm every single day.

The first two weeks was classroom training, and the second two weeks was driving around San Diego, including downtown parts of San Diego and freeway driving. For those two weeks, I drove about 15 hours with various big rig trucks pulling trailers: 72 feet in total length. I don't think I can express fully how important and crucial that training is to know what it feels like to be driving a truck like this.

I'm also happy to report that at the end of this class, I sat for the DMV commercial driving test and passed. So I am now a commercial driver, which gives me worlds of insight to be able to approach my cases.

I'm thankful to the incredible instructors at this program, and I look forward to going back next week to obtain my passenger endorsement for bus driving.
